I have been photographing the Pug Parade for the past few years.

My mom has two pugs. I'll definitely have to send her this link.

She will get a kick out of it. The owners went nuts with costumes this year too.

Greyhounds, baby! Greyhounds!!

Big dogs rule!!!

Small dogs always have that Napolean complex.

SaabFan 10-11-06 11:06 AM

You have a grey, KT?

I've always wanted one, but alas - no fenced in yard. I don't think I'd want a sight hound without one.

EJ123 10-11-06 11:07 AM

Eh not me.

Namenda 10-11-06 12:07 PM

Pugs rock. I've had three. They all had major health problems, unfortunately. We have a cat now. Don't have to walk him. Just dust him off once in a while, if he sleeps too long.

cydewaze 10-11-06 12:22 PM

I love pugs. In fact I like most cute things.

Pics from last year's annual picnic from the group I got my boys through:

And yes, you don't want one unless you can keep it in a fenced yard...you don't want a sight hound running loose unless you want to lose him.

I like baby tigers

So you adopted yours from a rescue group? I've been talking to a few of the groups around here for years. I've even helped them do events at malls and such. It's enough exposure to keep me happy until I can afford a fence. :D

SaabFan 10-11-06 12:44 PM

Nice dogs by the way. Those are some pretty striking colors.

KingTermite 10-11-06 01:21 PM

Thanks....they have an absolute wonderful temperment too. Cool dogs, but not hyper like some breeds. It's nice that you can not "have" to take them to exercise "every day" if you don't have time.

I generally get them to the dog park about 4 times per week and let them in back yard as often as they are inclined. They DO love laying around on the couch a lot though.

rando 10-11-06 01:53 PM

I've heard that about Greyhounds... that they are really couch potatoes... and every one I've met has been so sweet! very loving dispositions.

Yup...very sweet and loveable and VERY LAZY.

There is a good reason why people call them "The world's fastest couch potato".

Um, no. That is a very famous saying...you hear it in greyhound circles all the time.

I learned something new today. But do check out that movie. Anthony Hopkins did a great job. It is a real life story about a kiwi who took a 1920's Indian motorcycle and broke a bunch of speed records.
