how do i stay off bike forums?

seriously, i'm really falling behind on work, but i'm still not reducing the hours i spend on this board. i wish there was a feature where you could only access it for a certain amount of time per day.

i have self control in every single aspect of my life, except this one. urg! too much of a good thing i guess? my boss is on the other side of the country and i have no one looking over my shoulder all day...so it's waaaaay to easy to just read posts all day long.

Do you care if you get fired?

If yes, and the board is making you slack on work - then you'll self regulate and quit mucking around here all day.

If however, you don't care...which may be the case given you're not giving it your full and undivided attention Then slack on, and look for a job that can hold your interest.

I have this problem too. Even when bf is boring, and I don't feel like posting I'll come look anyways.

Having the same problem here too. But I finished my last exam of the week so I alowed to treat myself. Maybe I should just go ride my bike before I have to spend the next few days studying.

i go through stages. a lot of times i wait until things look desperate and then i quickly immerse myself and finish everything at the last minute. it's really an unhealthy way to work though and i really need to cut that out. it's just sounds so silly being addicted to an internet board, but i find myself in this situation. gotta snap out of it.

I click the "View New Posts" about 6 times an hour. Sometimes a lot more often. Timmy, I hear ya; I'm afflicted too. Oh well!

I'm having problems too. Falling behind on a lot of projects. My boss isn't going to fire me really, but I might get locked in a dungeon with no windows or computers for a while...

Hey, maybe if we're all really mean to timmhaan, he won't be on here as much! Just kidding, we'd never do that!

You mean by sending a link to this thread to his boss? Does anyone have his e-mail address?

How do you think I feel...I AM THE BOSS and I spent at least fours hours today looking at BF and doing google searches on bikes and gear I read about on Bike forum. If I slack to much the business fails and alot of people are out of work.

Before becoming addicted to riding and my introduction to BF I spent all of my "off" time on Morningstar but at least on that board it was to make money not spend it.

But I agree with blongauhtlongrl "smiling and laughing is an addiction I have trouble getting rid of."

So here I am at 10:20PM catching up on work and immediately getting distracted by the forums...

Hello...My name is Greg...and I am a BF addict...

or maybe on a sub or unconscious level you hate the job so much and it knows that you can't walk away from the job and so it has you do this. Remember your sub conscious/unconscious is usually 10 steps ahead of you.
