Good old pie.

Really though, it's awesome stuff. Any filling base works too: fruits, custards, meat, vegtable stew, mousse, eggs, cheese.

What about false pies like shepherd's pie? No crust, but can be yummy. Do you consider it a pie?

Pumpkin pie is good. I'm the only person in my family who likes it though. Everyone else says it tastes like "dirt".

Yay pie!! Pretty much the greatest ever, what with the flaky golden crust and the delicious insides...it's like there's a party in my mouth and everyone's invited - and has brought pie!

I ate some bad pumpkin pie when I was a kid. It was mom's turn to host a meeting of the social club she was in and my siblings and I were banished to the basement with no dinner until the event was over. When the place finally cleared out and we were allowed to emerge from the dungeon, the only thing left to eat was some pumpkin pie some ol' witch had brought to the house. I did not like pumpkin pie but I was starving so I tried to eat a piece but could not finish it. By the next morning I was wishing for death to ease my suffering. For about two years after that, if I even looked at a picture of pumpkin pie I would feel like I was going to puke!

The pie, it owns me. I have yet to come across any conventional pie that was not tasty and delicious. I'm from the South, so 3000 Calorie pecan pie is great!

Another apple pie lover here. Nothing beats a big piece of apple pie, especially with whipped cream.

Chess pie is the craziest phenomenon of pies. It's like pecan pie without the pecans.

Try apple (or pumpkin) pie with cinnamon ice cream.

My favorite fruit pie is a blueberry gallette. It's a no pie-pan, rustic pie. And it's beautiful.

Just roll out your favorite dough into a circle, place the dough on a flat cookie sheet (no sides), pile on blueberries (fresh or frozen) in the center of the dough, fold the dough over pile of blueberries---you might have an inch of overage, you might completely cover the blueberries--it's up to you. Brush dough with cream (or milk), sprinkle the top (dough+fruit) with a bit of sugar if you wish (1-2tsp is plenty), and bake at 375ish until dough is golden. If you like your filling sweeter, you can sprinkle more sugar over the berries before you fold the dough over the berries.

This is the perfect pie for anyone afraid to make pie crust. It's supposed to have folds and/or holes and/or creases and/or rough edges.

I also love vegetarian pies. Mmmm. Great cold-weather food!

Have you tried making a pie. Graham ******* crust, Jello sugar free puddding, and Dezerta whip cream or Cool Whip sugar free topping.

Somewhere I have a recipe for a low sugar and low fat apple pie that is great.
