In michigan the weather is almost guaranteed to change overnight. Out in nawlins, I kinda doubt it.

what a joke. As far as im concerend, if they dont do tests during the rain, you should be allowed to drive in the rain.

My girlfriend took her test in the middle of a blizzard, it was ridiculously icy.

Thats what i said to my family, what bull****. Whats the difference between me taking the test in rain or me driving in rain? I mean ok i get my license on a good day, next day i go out and drive and bam it rains and i get into a wreck because i wasnt prepared for it. So driving with an instructor in rain, he could tell you what to do.

Dude, you need a blog.

Or atleast cut your hair with a weedwacker, dye it pink and black and listen to crybaby music. Then get a blog, make sure the background is black with flashing pink .gifs all over and an annoying midi, Write about how life has been bugging you in creative forms using poetry and post that you cut your wrists.

I can't tell you why they won't test in the rain... maybe they don't want to get their tootsies wet or something.

But it makes no difference if you take your test in the rain or not; the test isn't what prepared you to drive in the rain. That's a bit of flawed logic there.

I'm sure the restriction is the result of some lawsuit... people are more prone to get into accidents in the rain, so if you're taking your test and get in a wreck, since you're not licensed, the licensed driver is a state employee on state business. Who gets sued? Just a theory.

idk...but i was just pissed earlier because i've been waiting so long and this just pops up. Tomorrow i will go and see, i came to the same conclusion that they probably dont test in severe weather.

Sissies!

I took my m/c test and there was snow and ice on the course. The testing LEO didn't want to let me take the test because of the course conditions. I rationalized with him, I drove there in those conditions, I'll drive home and I'll continue to ride in less than ideal road conditions, now if I was the person giving the test, knowing what you now know, I'd want to be sure the applicant could handle themself in those conditions.

He let me run the course. On the last skillset test; zig-zag between cones down the line, u-turn at the end and run back through them, my back tire hit some ice as I was making the u-turn. I went in to a rear tire slide, overshot the first cone for the return, but picked up the zig-zag on the second cone. I ran them down back to him and stopped with the front tire inches from his boot with a big grin on my face.

He said "You missed that first cone on your return, I could fail you... but that was a hell of a save on the turnaround. You can ride and he passed me!

Maybe, it's been shown that cops write fewer tickets on rainy days. Most likely they don't want to get out in the rain & cold. I suspect DMV employees are even bigger wimps!

Try Florida....notorious for being one of the worst places for quick changing weather. The old saying is something like, "You don't like the weather? Ok...just wait 10 minutes then.".

Nope, just consider this extra preparation.
