Elk Jerky is great. Bear Jerky? I have a rule that I don't eat animals with paws.

My favourites are from The Tillamook Country Smoker.

And of course this discussion brings to mind...

Yep Bear is fantastic meat. Even bear steak can be good (it's a bit firmer than most meats, but nice if cooked medium rare).

I used to make bear "jerky" as a kid (8 years old) using the toaster oven (parent supervision) on it's lowest setting, some salt, and some fresh ground black pepper. It wasn't smoked, but it was still pretty tasty.

Just make your own, all you need is meat and an oven.
You can pretty much jerk anything, anything.
