It's raining, I'm taking the day off...

...and will try to sleep the entire day. So far, I find it much harder than I thought. But maybe I'm just not trying hard enough.

It's so nice and peaceful...like I'm the only one on earth. It's what I used to think of as a "Paddington Bear Day" (aka London) when I was a baby. Atmospheric, grey, and quietly raining softly (not a storm). What a great way to relieve stress!

    *sigh*

Back to "work" for me then...ZZZZZZZZzzzzz

(At least I can lounge, even if I can't sleep)

There is something so sweet and comforting about snuggling up on a cold, wet day. Cuddled up with a good book and a steaming mug of chai with the rain fall as your background noise. (I'm jealous)

    Paddington is my hero!

I'm working from home today...and tomorrow and probably Sunday...I hate when projects get out of control.
"Let us hope our weapons are never needed --but do not forget what the common people knew when they demanded the Bill of Rights: An armed citizenry is the first defense, the best defense, and the final defense against tyranny. If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military, the hired servants of our rulers. Only the government -- and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws" - Edward Abbey

Michael Bond would sometimes manage to incorporate bicycles in his drawings somehow.

I love these drawings. I think I used to just make up my own stories, and just lose myself in the pictures after reading the book two or three times.
