You mean Cleveland is like one of the top 10 most dangerous? But, but, I don't even carry a gun!

It should be two lists, one the most safest, and one the most dangerous, not one continous list.

I was in St. Louis on Thursday night. I didn't get mugged, shot, or physically violated.

Then again, I was where the crowd was downtown. Like any major city, there are areas of which visitors should be wary.

BTW, this was my first trip back to St. Louis in several years. I was surprised at the liveliness of downtown. There was life on some of the streets that used to just shut down at 5 pm. According to the friend I was with, there is a slowly building movement to inhabit the center of downtown. Condos, restaurants, etc. He was even considering moving there from the 'burbs. It's just a start, but hopefully the momentum builds and the core of the city can become a real place to live, work, and play, instead of a place to just visit the Arch, go to a ballgame, and then get the heck out of there. I'd love to see St. Louis someday be a 24 hour city like Chicago.

The whole state of Washington (353) is more dangerous than NYC and LA.

I know they meant Washington DC

My brother teaches in Brick, NJ, the 'safest city' in the country, and yeah, it's safe, but pretty dam boring. I think I'll take a little danger for some exctement. But, it's not exactly a city, more of a spread out town, like most in NJ.

Where did you get this list?

I looked it up a few years ago, the one I got was the FBI list of most dangerous cities based on violent crime rates per capita.

4 of the top 10 cities in that list I saw were Fla cities.

There are no Illinois cities on there! But Kenosha, Wisconsin, is on there. That's basically an exurb of Chicago, so I guess that can represent Chicagoland. Hey, Kenosha's got a velodrome!

I live in the USA's most dangerous city... lol... what a joke. If STL is THAT dangerous, compared to compton, I better stop riding.

Lol, here is the order of cities I have lived in:

169. Fort Wayne, Ind.
112. San Jose, Calif.
323. St. Petersburg, Fla.

I am amazed that Fort Wayne was as high up as it is...looks like the cops are doing better things than busting each other now.
