    Waiting for...

    ...the light to turn green?
...the #9 bus to the mall?
    ...your ship to come in?
    ...test results?
    ...a better offer?
    ...the end of the world?
    ...Godot?
    ...Guffman?

Well.... what are you waiting for?

    Don't need a *****
    I don't need no booze
    Don't need a virgin priest
But I need someone I can cry to
    I need someone to protect
    Making love and breaking hearts
It is a game for youth
But I'm not waiting on a lady
I'm just waiting on a friend

Jefe: Why don't you just take her? When you want cattle, you take the cattle. When you want food, you take the food. When you want a woman, you just take the woman. Why don't you just take her?
El Guapo: Jefe, you do not understand women! You cannot force open the petals of a flower. When the flower is ready, it opens itself up to you.
Jefe: So when do you think Carmen will... "open up her flower" to you?
El Guapo: Tonight. Or I will kill her!

Oh cummon. The Doors ooze cool. ZZTop are, well. . . . they're cool, but gimmicy. In a contest of pure cool, The Doors would put ZZTop in headlocks until they passed out.

ZZ Top wins the coolness award hands down on just their cars alone. The Doors would all still be in a VW campervan with one hubcap with a mixture of patchouli oil, incense and reefer smoke pouring out all 13 windows and smoke billowing from the exhaust. Meanwhile, ZZ would cruise by in a chopped, channelled, shaved, lowered and leaded Caddie drop top with beards blowing in the wind.

    Piffle!

The Top did better with three than the Doors did with four!

ZZ Top are way cooler than the Doors. Why? Because they never told anyone they were cool.

Mr. Mojo Risen's coolness was quite manufactured, imho. The music's okay, but ending your life in such an obvious rock n roll way is just cliche'.

    ZZ Top's coolness just..... is.

Wait just ONE minute here. You're calling the Doors' coolness fake, then propping up a band that rides around in tricked out cars with bright clothing and big huge beards the real deal? Cummon! If there's a band with MORE pre-manufacturered-coolness than ZZTop, I don't know them.

(BTW, I like ZZTop. Just continuing the argument out of boredom. )
