For a grand total of $898.00

Yep that is the cost to go get my doggie from the hospital!!!

He is doing better has been finally able to hold down food and water all day today and I can pick him up after work today.

Anybody want to spare me some change Kidding, You all don't even know how happy I am to have my doggie coming home. Our other dog is taking a field trip to his vet for the day so hopefully we can bring him home too!!

Been thinking about you and Frosty today. Glad he is on his way home. Sorry to hear of the vet bill.

I've been there Snowy. One of my dogs was the queen of getting hurt. Let's see.....

· She's torn her coat on a nail of a fence, needing stitches
· stepped on a pitchfork and had to have surgery on her paw,
· Had a screen door close on her tail and proceeded to pull the tip off.
· Tried to attack a porcupine with obvious results….twice!
· Is allergic to grass pollen so we have to give her medication each fall

I hate to think how much money we have spent on her trips to the Vet but
you know, it's worth it.

My childhood cat cost my parents 2,500 bucks once. It was a lot, but he lived to be 20.

This thread reminds me of a joke I heard the other day.

I guy walks into the Vet with a lifeless dog. The Vet examines the dog and says “Your dog is dead.” The guy says “That can’t be, just an hour ago he was full of life! He was out in the yard fetching a ball!”

So the Vet leaves the room and comes back with a cat. He puts the cat on the table with the dog and the cat walks around the dog sniffing him then jumps off the table and leaves the room. The Vet says yep he’s dead. The guy finally accepts the fact his dog is dead and leaves. On the way out he gets the bill for $900.

He says to the Vet “$900 for what !/!!!!!

The Vet Says “That’s what I charge for a cat scan.”

Snowy I am so glad your dog is much better! I know it is worth it. Money is no matter when it comes to our loved ones.

There is no price on love, only sacrifices.

First, my dog has Addison's disease. This doesn't allow his body to make a steroid to keep him alive. So he is medicated for this. Has been for 5years.

Well his had what they call HCG. Its a gasterol (sp) infection. It causes the dog to vomit and have major diarrhea. Its totally painful for them. So anyhoo, the dog stops eating and drinking etc. Cause my dog already has a major disease it makes his immune system weaker and shut down faster then a normal dog.
So he required major care and thats the cost for the bill.

Its very involved. But I love him to death.
