That's awesome! Man - I'd love to see you tear up the floor with some jazz moves! A lot of that movement would translate really well, you would rock!!

Awwww That is really one of the things I love about this dance. It embraces women of all shapes, sizes and ages. When I started dancing over 4 years ago, I weighed a lot more than I do now. It was one of the few things that I could do with my body that made me feel beautiful, feminine and good about myself. It really did wonders to my psyche and self esteem and it does for so many other women too. I love this art form, I live to dance.

I also love the girls in my troupe. We're practically like a family. They have all been dancing together for 10 years and I just joined them last year. They took me in like one of their own. They have a great spirit that really comes through when we're dancing together and its hard to see on this video because of the poor quality.

Anyhow, thanks for the comments and appreciation everyone.

I believe that! that it would bring out the sexy side of a woman no matter the size, I find it sad that society decides what's sexy or not.
But anyway, on the same subjet, I know it's a bit more taboo but did you ever see the pole dancing class? Those are becoming very fashionable too to teach or bring out the sexy side of a woman. Im all for those too! But it has such a cliche to it because of what it's affiliated with but I think for a couple those are great and even just for a woman alone to just feel more sexy about herself

I agree that we should decide for ourselves what we find sexy instead of letting our culture dictate it. I have heard of those kinds of classes, and hey if it works, then more power to those ladies! I wonder how many of them actually have a pole installed at home for them to practice on!

My friend had turned her basement into a bar...complete with poles! only problem was htat these were structural poles (much too big in diameter and with bolts sticking out the side), but that didn't keep us from having some fun. I really wanted to learn how to do the upside down thing, but never quite mastered it, bummer.

Yeah, just look around. You'd be surprised where there are bellies lurking. Most people wouldn't think Utah is a place for belly dance, but its HUGE here! We put on the biggest outdoor belly dance festival in the country here in August!

Awww you're sweet! Thanks, I'll tell them that! It's really too bad it isn't better quality and closer up. There is a lot of stuff that you just can't see on that video that makes the performance so much better!
