Okay this is a rant against FedEx and sorry if it offends anyone here that works for them but this is stupid!
My wife and I have been wanting a massage chair/recliner for some time. I do the usual shopping around and find the brand but not really the model I want. I eventually do decide on a model that being the iJoy 320 with the recliner calf massager. Will be good to sit in after those long rides one would think
I find that if I buy local the price will be $1300 plus depending and that is with sales tax in NC. I find an authorized dealer online and they have the chair and color I want for $999 delivered.....no tax! Bingo we have a winner!
I order the chair on the 12th of Dec. Like any good store they send a tracking number through FedEx and I watch it to see when it is coming because you have to sign for it. My wife and I work during the day and sometimes into the night and if I can through my job I will try to be at home day chair arrives, seems reasonable.
Well the chair is coming from IL and I see it makes it to Charlotte, NC which is 2.5 hrs. from my home. Now keep in mind this is the 13th now. One dman day from IL to NC (not too shabby). I think okay, maybe by Friday it will be here and I can watch football in the chair. Well I keep watching the tracking via FedEx tracking online...............never leaves Charlotte, NC. WTF is up. Has it found that it likes Charlotte and wants to stay. So I today after constant e-mailing FedEx on their web site to inquire what is the hold up no one can ever give me an answer. I finally call them and speak with a CS Rep. who we all know is overworked especially this time of year. I am patient with him and he says to me, "Let me call the Charlotte hub and inquire would you remain on hold?" No problem. Comes back to tell me it has been lost.
Wait a minute, lost! How do you lose a damn recliner chair that is in a big a$$ box sir? Well it is lost and maybe it was sent to our Ogden, UT department or some crap. Wait a minute..........lost and maybe UT but not sure and very well could be at the Mormon Tabernacle being used! Sorry folks had to throw that in. I like Mormons so don't give me any of that crap I am racist! So I say to him, what next. He says give us 14 days to find it then if no luck you or the person you bought it from can file a claim. Are you kidding me buddy! You lost a chair that was 2.5 hrs. from my home and what beats that he asks, what does it look like? Dude I say! HTF should I know you guys lost it and if I knew what it looked like we would not be having this conversation! None the less I call the store I bought it from and they are getting to the bottom and said they are giving FedEx only 48 hours then they will file the claim.
Not over.............just got a call from a rep. asking once again.......I know it is a massage recliner but what does it look like and color? WTF are you kidding me too. It is in a damn big box dude and color really does not matter unless you have a $hit load of them you guys just open for fun and sit on them while the owners awiat for their dman chairs! I am sorry but this is crazy and FedEx has some real losers there! I have never had a problem with them before until now. I could see losing a small pkg. but a damn recliner...............come on!
