When threads get long...

Do you read them? When there are 6 pages displayed by the subject does it tempt you to not open that thread? IF you do open it, do you read all of the posts? I skim them but after awhile i hear Charlie Brown's teacher talkin if you know what i mean.

Heh, If I come home from school and notice a 4+page thread, some times I read the last few posts but other than that maybe not

I start with the last post. If I find something interesting in the last post, or on the last page, I might backtrack to see what came before. If there's nothing interesting on the last page, I don't bother.

i have a hard time keeping up once it hits 3 pages. i don't post at night so sometimes i'll come into work the next morning and a thread has blown up to giantic proportions. and i just don't feel like reading everything.

i usually try to get in when a thread is 1 or 2 pages long.

If the message is more than one screen I usually skip it, unless it gets really interesting in the first few sentences.

I read the last page and get a sense of why it was long, if it looks like arguments was a part of it, I dont read it if it looks like it was a good laugh, I might take the time.
Long threads dont bother me, but long boring posts... I skip right throught them!

I read the first page and the last page. Just to have an idea what is happening. I read so many threads in a day the 5+ pages get to be too time consuming.

If I'm at work and need to kill some serious time, I'll read all or most of the posts in a multipage thread, otherwise, I'll read the first few and the last few if the subject matter entralls me.

I read them all the way through, but then I am new here and trying to catch up. One thing that I have learned since being here, what you see on the first page and the last page have absolutely nothing to do with what is in the middle 3 pages.

That's foo man. Everyone is talking about everything but the topic by the end of the 2nd page.

I don't open up threads that don't interest me. If I see something I deem worthy of opening
I read through it.

Actually I have noticed that in the Road and General riding sections as well. I was thinking so far Foo is one of the better at sticking to what the title says.

I read the first page. If it's still interesting I read the second. If it's still interesting I read the third and so on. In general, I don't reply unless I read everything.
