    It also makes an excellent substrate for the aforementioned chilli & cheese combinations.

    Both this both that, I say one or the other. I cooked up some cornbread on christmas, and I couldn't decide which topping I liked better. I guees honey because it's good with good plain cornbread and it takes away some bad spicyness from something like jalepeno cornbread.

    I like cornbread w/ butter and maple syrup.

    Of course, chili isn't complete without cornbread on the side. Come to think of it, that would be a fantastic 6-way chili: chili, pasta, beans, onions, cheese and cornbread
