Just how many FOO engineers are there?

It seems everytime I turn around I am hearing another FOOster admit they are an engineer. I'm glad I'm not the only one....I have my geeky engineer company. Already I know of RitehseDad, VegaVixen, Slvoid, JSchen. Who else? Chime in.

Who's an engineer?

Disclaimer: Actual engineers....please don't start the "sanitation engineer" or "combat engineer" jokes...I mean people who actually got their college degrees in some engineering discipline (and hopefully do it for a living now).

Foo Engineer Roll Call - Who's here?

I think a cool piece of software would be for a program to read a jpeg pic or something from a camera (let's say the pic was a picture of a book) and it would be able to read the letters, and will automatically type it in something like word.

I thought he was in Masters program for ChemE. Although...he isn't truly "working as an engineer" as I stated in first post.

Nope....we have an "order of the ring" ceremony too. I hung mine in the frame with my diploma (and now it is proudly displayed in a box in the closet in my spare room somewhere).

Have an MSME. Considering teaching at the local University, while going for a PhD. Though I have the possibility of going back to the type of work I was doing before I had to leave it. Don't yet know which way I'll go....

It looks like Canadian and US versions are different though.

careful, get to many engineers together in one place and things go down hill quick.

BS EE, UMaine.

My job is really program management, very little actual engineering and almost no electrical.
