    Quotes on life.

We all have them, little sayings about life. Only a few words long but they can mean so much. Things like lifes a joke, so have some fun' or 'live life today, for tommorow is uncertian.'

    Lets hear your sayings.

"the bus came by and I got on, that's when it all began...there was Cowboy Neal at the wheel of a bus to never-ever land."

This Nietzsche saying has found its way into many languages. My favorite bastardization of this saying is:
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Lately, that's my mantra.

Also: "Gettin' old ain't for sissies." <VERY serious Vega look>

I have a few others that I'll have to look up in my late husband's "quote file." He was big into this....

Not sure who said this but it was used in an Element Skateboard ad. I have it framed in my office.

"You may be disappointed if you fail but doomed if you never try."

Some days you get the bull, some days you get the horn.
"Let us hope our weapons are never needed --but do not forget what the common people knew when they demanded the Bill of Rights: An armed citizenry is the first defense, the best defense, and the final defense against tyranny. If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military, the hired servants of our rulers. Only the government -- and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws" - Edward Abbey

Democracy will fail when the people figure out they can vote themselves money.

    See my sig.
Life is about hanging onto what you think is important and finding out what really is important.
"Stop Ruining my joke!", "No, a joke implies humor attached at no additional cost"
So many sayings, so little sig space.

An eerie one from "1984" by George Orwell.
He who controls the past controls the future and he who controls the present controls the past.

One of many amazing quotes from C.S. Lewis (this one taken from "The Great Divorce"):
Evil cannot succeed at doing evil even so much as good can succeed at doing good.
