Maybe not to the degree that you're professing, but if I'm flipping channels and come across Mythbusters, I rarely keep flipping.

+1,000,000,000 - Not the baby thing, but I am definitely a fan. Mainly because they remind me of yahoos I've worked with in the manufacturing world.

Adam and Jamie actually visited my university last year and did a lecture-ish type thing, but I didn't go. If they ever come back, I definitely want to meet them.

Yeah, that show is probably my 4th favorite show on TV, behind The Office, Top Gear, and 24.

Jamie's got the demeanor of my late mad-scientist grandfather. You can tell he's been close to being blown to bits a few times. If it wasn't for Adam, though, the show would basically be "Mr. Wizard" for adults, without the creepy old guy inviting little kids over. It would be the creepy old guy inviting teenagers and college kids over.

More or less...I rarely keep flipping past discovery. For my tastes...not enough episodes. There seem to be toooo many repeats

I don't know, I just can't get into that show. Dirty Jobs on the other hand is an awsome show.

My favorite was the exploding toilet!

Can't say I have a favorite, but any episode that causes either Adam or Jamie to jump or have Tory falling on his ass/face is a good one. And of course, shooting cannonballs through something is always cool.

OH hells yea!!! That show is great! I'm an avid hiker, but no way would I ever climb Everest. I go on an over night backpacking trip every winter in the White mountains of NH. One night is enough for me, forget about three months in the cold with no oxygen.

I like the man vs. wild show the best on discovery.. that guy is crazy... Mythbusters is good too... Mythbusters has like become a great arguing point .. someone says something then they are like Mythbusters busted that. There is no comeback to that you have to admit defeat.

I'd like them to bust the myth that MERTON is really the way he is.

edit: Bear Grylls is cool, but Les Stroud goes out by himself. He's his own cameraman.

I love doing that. What I usually do is wait until someone finishes a really long explanation of why some myth is true, and how they heard from a friend who knew someone who it happened to, etc.

...then I drop the whole, "Actually that's a myth. You ever watch Mythbusters? Turns out it can't happen because.... You don't have to lie to be my friend."
