addicted? how many times did you check forums?

When it was down yesterday. How many times did you try to log on? Come on, admit it!

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Once. Before my ride. By the time I got back from riding 133 miles and eating dinner, happily, the forum was back up.

Right before I left to do my century ride with fellow BF riders I checked BF and it was down. When I came home after the ride and dinner, BF was up and running. Therefore, I checked only once. Of course, had I not done the ride, it would have been a different story.

In case people are wondering, different ride. There were two SoCal BF groups [edit: make that three groups] on century rides yesterday.

Jeez, with this century talk, I actually find myself wanting to live in California for once. With the effective -2F temp here, riding is pretty much out of the question (other than tooling around town to the library, etc.)

Yah, I was wondering how come the IRC was full of whippersnappers. Maybe EFNet locks out people over 30?

Actually, the reason I thought more 30-somethings would have been in there is because those who played around pre-forums on the Internet (think early 90's) are probably the most familiar with IRC. IRC went the way of the Dodo around 1997 or 1998. Most of the people in IRC last night were probably still in elementary school back then.

I suppose I was thinking more people that were in their 20-40's in the 90's (in their 30-50's now) would have shown up.
