You could just listen to a streaming radio station, that's what I usually do. Just do a seach for something like "trance streaming" or something like that, and you'll get some good results.

Well, it better be high bitrate stuff, cause I'm going to be cranking my new Creative Labs 5.1's.

Install Streamripper32 if using Windows.
http://streamripper.sourceforge.net/sr32/

... or StreamripperX if using Mac OS X.
http://streamripperx.sourceforge.net/

Tune it into an MP3 on any of these fine channels:
www.etn.fm
www.philosomatika.com
www.di.fm
www.technobase.fm
www.xtcradio.com
www.1.fm

Rip away!

I have gigs and gigs of electronic dance music. I might even share some if interested. I have half a gig or so of genuine "techno" which no one seems to know the definition of anymore.

BTW Philosomatika rocks, but it Psychadelic Trance a.k.a. Goa is an acquired taste. And I've never done acid or X (or even smoked a cigarette) before.

It will probably give your lan party patrons a headache.

I doubt it.

Most of these guys play games with headsets and the volume cranked so they can hear footsteps/weapon switches/grenade throws.

Then they shoot, and it gets real loud, real fast.

Digitally imported has some good stuff.
Bit torrent! Search Armin Van Buuren. He hosts the best trance radio show out there. No repetitive generic loops. If you want something really nice, get the A State of Trance 2006 Year Mix.

If you want downloads, eMusic has a lot of good bands, sometimes only their older stuff, sometimes all the way up to date. I've found a lot of good classic industrial there.

If you can swallow WM-DRM files, the $15 a month URGE subscription is also a nice thing... its fairly uncommon when I look up a band, not find them on there.

Philosomatika's good, but lately I just listen to Music One on iTunes radio. Not trance music, more house/dance type music.
