What brought you here?

For some of us, it has been awhile, but I still remember how I wound up at bikeforums.net. In the summer of 2003, i had just started riding and was looking to learn. My other hobbies had taught me that in order to learn about them you needed to type in the word "forum" to learn something on the internet.

To learn about Home Theater I searched for home theater forums, home improvement...home improvement forums etc.

So I typed in bike forums. And the rest is history. How did you get here?

Just had a few questions when I started mountain biking, and every time I did a search, bikeforums came up in the results. I just lurked for a long time, then someone said something about the trails at the university I was going to, so I signed up so I could reply.

I just hung out in the mtb forums for a long time, then I discovered Foo, and the rest is history.

Boredom... I used to be big on modding my Integra before selling it and being on Honda forums for the last 6 years. Then I got into cycling and searched for bike forums.

Must have been like 1994!

I got to the point a few years ago when I could finally afford thinking about a new bike, as opposed to the beaters and wally world specials I rode for years. I stumbled upon links to BF threads while googling for info on the bikes I was considering.

Hmmm I want to say I was cutting class and on a computer at a library, but I think that was when I joined some other random forum. I probably just had a question about my trek 930 and needed some quick help.

I was trying to get the old 3-speed Raleigh Superbe that I inherited from my uncle back on the road after 20+ years of neglect. Found a bunch of references to "Raleigh Superbe" here when I googled it.

I wanted to talk bikes, as I was getting more and more into it. Still trying to find where I can talk bikes, though....

And I see that my 2yr anniversary is coming up. Whee!

I was building up an old Jeunet and Googled for info on 70's French bikes. Followed a link that landed me in C & V. Found lots of great information and discussions so I signed up.
