How much is this bandsaw worth?

My grandparents are moving out of their house into a condo, and are selling off the machinery that once made up a shop. My grandfather's been an avid wood worker for quite a while. I know nothing about wood or word working machinery. So I have been given the task of listing their stuff in Craigslist and selling it. Well the truth is, I don't really know how much to ask for this bandsaw. If anybody in here does wood working, can you give some estimate of how much it is worth?

It's a 14" vertical bandsaw from Delta. I looked it over today, it looks literally brand new. Not a scratch anywhere, nor a spec of dust, or even a blemish. What should I ask for on craigslist? 500?

go to delta and see how it compares to current lineup and then go to some retailers. You can get a brand new Delta 14" for $439

Wish I had a link to the "I'd hit it" bannana that does the thrusts. Thats a nice saw. Real nice. I'd say 500+ in used condition. But it all depends on who wants it. Shipping will be expensive as hell if you ebay it.

Yea, my grandfather does not want to deal with shipping. he said local pickup only. THis is not a light weight, or light duty saw. I don't know why he got it. He hardly used it, I have no memories of him ever using it. He always used his table saw (which was a monster machine). COme to think of it, I believe my grandmother got it for him as a wedding gift.

Yeah, its machine shop grade, no way around it. Primo saw. If you don't do a lot of woodworking its hardly worth keeping around. But I'll tell you what, I love wooworking, and that saw makes me drool.

Edit- Considering its condition, that saw could easily go for a grand I think. I'm gonna compare on ebay.

haha, I know nothing about wood working. He does wood carving. 2d and 3d carvings. Not so much anymore though. Getting old sucks.
I have more pictures if you replace the last # of the image url.
http://home.comcast.net/~phantomcow3/bg2.JPG
replace teh 2 with a 3, then the 3 with a 4, etc...

New this guy wants a grand for the same saw, and thats with a 100 dollar rebate, so I'd say 500-750, depending on how fast you want to sell it.

Somebody called their house, they got the # from the listing I made on Craigslist. Except that they wanted the anvil in the background instead of the saw! They also said the pics are fantastic.
