Are You Drawn to the Wabi-Sabi Side of Life?

Wabi-sabi is a beauty of things imperfect, impermanent and incomplete.

It is a beauty of things modest and humble.

It is a beauty of things unconventional.

You haven't seen anything until you see a full grown Doberman eat a 3 tablespoon glob of wasabi.

I experienced Wabi Sabi in Kibune about 9 years ago. You will know it when it happens. It is not possible outside Japan.

This is the spot it happened. Drinking Macha here>

Had a beer here in Mexico. Maybe it was Wabo Sabo, but I think it was along the same idea.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

I know, different topic, but the Dobi story tripped a memory!

That's awesome. I'm attracted to rustic looking locations. An arts studio has been set up in what was an old textile mill that made boots during the Vietnam War. There was an awesome library in there until recently and the nostalgia of the building is awesome. Oh, and a genetics research company set up in the other half of the building

Natural yes.

Serene, peaceful, relaxed and chill (I am guessing bordering on a medetative state) than no. Not a big fan of chilling on that level.

I don't usually bump old threads, but Wabi is also the name of a bicycle company now. I recently got one, and it's a sweet ride.
