Yeah, but then they start walking, and talking, and you can never get them to sit down and shut up.

There was this really, really, really really cute girl - couldn't have been but a few years old. And she was trying to balance herself on top of this rock. that was anchoring a basketball hoop.

Hey, mine are 12 and 15. Been there, done that, but not a grandfather yet so I haven't come full circle to the "babies are cool" stage. At least not in my house.

On the other hand, I have a niece that will be 3 soon, and I think she's the cat's meow. And I just got home from the Legion post, where I spanked my son repeatedly playing pool, and took time out to listen to my daughter sing "Daddy's Hands" at karaoke.

Father of the year? Maybe not, but I set aside my career to make sure they had a parent that would always be there.

Dunno. Daughter basically has it right though, I cut little slack when you screw up and spread plenty of praise when you got it right.

I see it was done by Hillary Dunn - but I'm guessing Nancie Griffith, Kathy Mattae or (Grace ... i forget her name) or Patty Loveless redid hersong because It use to be on an Austin City Limits that we had recorded many many years ago.

Umm - the owners of this forum do try to make this forum as "family" friendly, having nothing to do with "babies" - Extending your middle finger is not very acceptable or polite

Babies are cute when the sleep...And only when they sleep...

Everyday 23 hours and 55 minutes are hell with my kids...but those 5 minutes make up for it all...
