See the sights, invite the whole family

After a couple weeks typing in notepad* I've finally managed to get something up on the 'net.

http://cinco.phpnet.us

It ain't much and the design is simple, but simple is what I like. Probably the most fun is the University Bicycles photo page. I was at their shop a week ago and managed to get lots of photos of their vintage bike collection which I just had to vomit onto the web. So... anybody know where I can score a few GBs of space so I can put up my collection of catalogs ?

*I'm a curmudgeon - anyone who uses a graphical editor is a savage. Probably smells bad too. So there.

OMG. That song brings back some memories.... <driftin' awaaaaayyyy>

Uh, oh, yeah. Nice little site. Are you able to find truly 27" tires for your wheels? Any suggestions? I have a real problem with the "modern" tires....

Ideally, I need to find another Weinmann 630x30, 27"x1 1/4" wheel, 6-speed. I want to have a wheel dedicated to the trainer with a trainer tire, but have a second wheel with a roadtire that I can swap out with the trainer wheel so that I can take a nostalgic ride on my sweet beater once in a while.... <sigh>

Nice group: I misplaced my 'beercan' a few years ago, an entry level Super Mirage I would ride to Orchard Beach in the Bronx in the summer to play handball. Figured if it 'disapeared' no great loss and I could take the bus home.

So, that was one of those cases of kinda leaving it with the hope that it might, um, disappear?

noooo! never! Just that it would hurt alot less than when my Vitus was stolen when I changed my mind
on an ice-cream purchase: parked outside store late after returning from district races to celebrate my good posts at the track, grabbed a quart, headed for the counter still saw the rear wheel in the door way turned around to get another flavour and when I turned around. POOF ! gone :O(

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Nice! I like the simplicity! Stark and austere sites often have more impact by not burying the content in bling.....and I love old steel too!

Glitch on my end, so I may have two posts.. I like sites that are simple and just get the point across. Flash, and other stuff is perfectly fine for other things, but there is elegance in simplicity.

Thanks Tom and mlts22 . I learned HTML before graphical editors (or even JavaScript, for that matter) existed and I fear change . I'll probably spiff it up a little, but blessed excess is for my bikes, not my sites.
