Per request of Vega Vixen...

...My tattoo thread.

I've decided I'm not getting the sprocket tattooed on my back, that instead is going on my calf. Instead I am getting a Japanese styled Koi on my back/side. I tried designing my own but I suck terribly at drawing and was wondering if some of you could help me out.

I want to keep it traditional, nothing flamboyant. Something like these:

I really like this one:

These are my attempts, and I am not happy with them in the slightest:

And finally, this is the plot of land I've scoped out for it, please note that extra 20 or so pounds of tactical padding along my mid section will be gone when spring hits and I can ride my bicycle again:

So, what I am asking of you Foosters is that if somebody is artistically inclined could they please try designing me a tattoo, if I like it your work may just live on forever on my body.

Any tatto done by someone other an an inmate named "Fuger" using a sharpened paperclip and a mixture of cigarette ashes and shampoo, or melted checkers, is not a real mans tattoo.

Which is fine, because I'm getting a traditional Japanese tattoo done the traditional Japanese way. Not with a tattoo gun, but with needles.

That must have sucked...

The way I am getting it done is the way they do the Horimono's in Japan. It's basically a wand with 24 needles on the end dipped in ink, and then thrust into you quickly and repeatedly. Very, very common with the Yakuza. Yes, I am a masochistic sonuvab!tch.

no pics currently, sorry
in fact, I don't even use a graphical based *anything* when on the computer, I'm an old school command line kind of guy. My browser is quite interesting to say the least. It doesn't handle frames very well but I have table support and can almost make full use of all of the functions on bike forums, oh and no pictures.
Maybe I do some more work on it, but coding gives me a headache anymore and it's been so long since I've coded and C..... ugh!
maybe one day I'll get some pictures or something

That's pretty high asperations for a first piece!

I wimped out on mine... just a little 2"x2" thing. In one of my calf piece sessions this young guy was getting his first... an arm and shoulder. I thought he was going to pass out in the second hour.

My first big tattoo was a Seadragon around my wrist. That took 2 hours.
