girl from summer romance came over - feedback appreciated

Guess what. R, the summer romance who had a boyfriend (environmental girl that I posted about a while ago), came over this morning. I was late to work strangely as I am usually gone by this time. Someone knocked on the door at 9am. I said 'who is it'?

I then opened the door and lo and behold it was R! She looked REALLY good too. Very happy and carefree. She was there to return a book that I lent to her a while ago and she had also made me a cd with a note. She said ‘ I did not think you would be here, I just wanted to leave the book here’. *Seems dubious to me because then why would she have knocked.

I was really excited to see her. You know when you talk and act really fast. She asked how I was and I said well and did a salsa shimmy saying that I am loving salsa

I then said how about a valentines day hug. She seemed apprehensive and did not give herself fully to the hug. So I said see you later. I was really excited smiling and moving fast the whole time.

What does her visit mean if anything? I guess I want to read into it as I want to think there is something there. Alas her behaviour and decisions have shown that she is probably not the girl for me but I thought we had many a fun time left at least.

The note?

Something like this:

Thanks for the book. I made you a cd and I hope that you like it. All the best in Holland if you are leaving soon.

R

** she thought I was moving to Holland which was a strong possibility at the time. Not right now though as I rejected the job.

* What do you think I do if anything? I will probably email her because I like her.

*** I know this may seem silly guys but posting helps me. I see the answer stare back at me then get your viewpoints. A different perspective than my emotionally clouded mind i guess.

I don't know. Maybe she was just returning a book. Maybe she is trying to remain friends. The awkward hug sounds like it is a little standoffish. Go slow and see what happens.

mmkay. You gave her a key. Took it back. She comes by. Knocks. You wonder why. She wanted to see if you were there before using the copy of your key to let herself in.

You had a chance earlier to "show your interest," so to speak. Did not do so.

Do not email. Forget her. She is gone. Go to your salsa classes, and look for some interesting women there. You might also try some casual group rides.

<settlin' back with a few Stellas, and popcorn, watchin' with Vega interest>

Brrrp! 'Scuse me.

doesn't seem like there's something there.

send her an email and thank her for the CD, and mention that the job in holland fell through, don't leave it open like you're expecting a response. DO NOT ASK HER OUT ON A DATE. if she emails you back then there might be something there, otherwise she probably just wanted to return the book with no ulterior motive.

if you meet again, try not to talk fast, try to speak at a normal tone and speed, like you're old friends.

edit: i don't know the history, so take my advice with a grain of salt

Here we go again. We'll be right back with another chapter of "As the Bimbos Turn" after this message from our sponsor, Acme Condoms - so we're cheap, it's not like you're ever gonna actually use one.

Have not listened yet. It is at home. I imagine Salsa and coldplay style. Salsa because she knows I am into it and so is she. Coldplay because she brought over her music when I made her dinner once and she some great stuff like coldplay etc.

If there can be intimate physical contact there can be intimate conversation. I have a fault where I wear my emotions on my sleeve. If I am interested in a girl I tell he so. Yeah, I have some girls tell me they didn't reciprocate. But the ones that did reciprocate gave it %100 because we were "going down the same road together." Either way, I know where I stand with someone either to my delight or to my disappointment.

Actually, R.E.M. did release a collectors CD a few years ago that had a secret song recorded on top of the CD that could be played by flipping it.

having played this game over and over, thankfully not in over two years, i can tell you what to do.

email her in a month after listening to the cd. the email should simply read this;

thanks for the cd i liked it alot. im free this coming weekend if you want to go get dinner or a drink.

based on response, go from there.

Be blunt and just ask her what she wants. If she's into you, she'll tell you.
