For those who know......

Siu had some possible medical problems, but the tests came back and she is fine.

Truly happy for her; she sounded so down
and I knew there was little I could say
that would not sound trite.
So I just prayed.

Didn't know, but medical tests with groovy results are always good to hear about, even without the details. Yea!

She didn't have scurvy? Whew! That's a relief. Glad to hear she's healthy.

Thank you everyone. had a bit (no, a lot) of a scare. I had to go through many tests this month. I had about six appts so far. I'm just glad that God is on my side and that I have good friends that help me through. (Some of them BFers!!
Thank you )

I have mainly Mich to thank though. He nagged me constantly till I went to my first appt and stayed with me through all of this. He knew I was scared.

You know, I have a handful of people that I've met through online communities such as this one. Some I've spent considerable time with, some I've yet to meet in person. People ask how I can trust people, how I can get attached to people that I've met over the internet. Family and friends that don't get it.

You guys get it.

Glad you're doing OK Siu, I'd have truly been hurt to have heard less positive news, even not knowing what the nature of the problem is.

Well I wasn't trying to get details, my point is that you obviously care, and you've touched someone's life. Regardless of the relative locations on the planet you each find yourselves is, you've done something powerful.

Oh, even happier to hear then. I remember that being such a scary time in my life. It would have been very lonely without my mom and bro. Mich, you're a peach of a friend.

I don't know (anything), but that's good news. Even with the apparent good test results, a bunch of medical appointments can't be a very pleasant experience.

So... Let me get this straight.

Your cancer test were negative (For which I'm very happy for you) and 'God is on your side.

OTOH, I have cancer. Guess I've done something to piss off God, eh?

Thanks for the sentiment.

No Stacey, no negative statement meant toward you or anyone else. I have made a personal deal with God is all I'm saying.

You know that I care for you which is why I made an offer to you in the past. That was before I found that the doctors wanted me to be tested. I'm really sorry and hurt if you took my statement as something personal toward you, I never meant it that way. ((hugs)).

C'mon sis, god don't do deals and we don't hold up our end either. It are what it is. You dodged the bullet, I took a critical hit. It's life and the end of it. All's good.

I was just yanking your chain and didn't mean anything... espescially for you to feel bad.

I just get a kick of the sports personalities who upon wining something start their podium speech with... "I'd like to thank God..." I smile and think to myself, yeah he likes you better than the other people.

I'm a cynical and sarcastic biotch like that. You're cool.

We just went through the possible-cancer-multiple-tests-thing with my wife. After 2 weeks in limbo, finally got the good results back on Tues., so I can relate to the sense of relief and pure, unbridled exhilaration.

Without wanting to sound trite, the oft-quoted maxim is so true: if you have your health you have everything.

Kinda puts everything into perspective, doesn't it? All of this has reminded me once again how all the little things in this life that I let upset me, that "stuff" I expend so much energy focusing on, is really petty and unimportant, and nothing in comparison to something of this nature.

I wasn't aware of what you are going through though, stacey. Prayer does help. You're in mine.
