i should go back as well. i have a BA degree in a field that i'm not working in. and i want to change my field completely. plus, i'm getting restless and not feeling like i'm doing all that i could be doing.

i was reading an article a while back about how people are scared to go back to school. the main reasons are they don't think they have time, it's too expensive, they'll have to cut back at work or go part time, etc. then they pointed out that people will likely be working well into their 60's and possibly 70's!! for me, that represents another 30 or so years of working!!! so, yeah, taking that point of view - there is more than enough time.

but still, i procrastinate.

Good luck going back.

When do you think you'll start? Will you have to move?

Good luck snowy. I took a two year break before grad school, but that's not quite the same as a long break.

That's a great idea Snowy, and it won't take as long as you think! You have so many great options in your area for schools. These days you can get so much credit for all of your work experience and job training. Go girl!

My wife did after about 8 years to get her masters. It was worth it. I think next is her doctorate......

Good luck young lady! Make the Foo family proud.

Since my wife finished her second degree, the heat has been on me to go back. Why don't we have a FOO "Back to School" support group?

My mom got her Masters after retiring. I went back at 25 to get my paper, and am considering another degree, or two if possible in the future. Go for it!!!

We could have a "Send Snowy to School" charity ride.

Working on my Master's in CS, focus in Software Engineering here. Thought I went straight from my undergrad to grad work. If everything goes well I should finish after the Summer semester. Else I may have a class in the fall.

Good luck Snowy, stay focused and you'll do fine. That's been my biggest problem, is that whole focus on school thing.

Yep, I took 19 years off. Graduated from College, floated for a little while before starting training with the Navy and 20 years later graduated from the Naval War College with my Master's. Then right back to work.

Another lawyer..........

Just kidding................I wish you the best. I wish I had opted at times to continue my architecture schooling. I made a choice and now I live with it. Don't get me wrong. I make decent money. My first love was architecture and even more so than the girls. I believe all happens for some reason, and now I put bad people in prison.
