10 more days of this. I *AM* going to kill someone (with video!)

Outside my balcony last night. The explosions peaked around midnight, but continued until 1:30-2:00 am. Then started again at 7:00 or 7:30.

Maybe I should check into a hotel...

Wow, and I got pissed at 4th of July when my neighbors shot off a few. I don't think I would be able to handle that.

Fire and explosives are cool, but fireworks are so ridiculously stupid. I can't stand them.

I like some fireworks occasionally -- on Chinese New Year's Eve, I can deal with them. But if it continues like this every night for two weeks.......

My cats certainly wouldn't like that. They don't tolerate the occasional bangs we have on a long holiday weekend. 10 days?

Yeah, I saw some neighbourhood (stray?) cats running for cover last night. They must have been terrified! I have a mirror in my bathroom, Siu -- you think that will be sufficient? And if these fireworks are supposed to scare away bad ghosts and evil spirits, nothing bad is going to happen ever again in China!

Thanks for the Vega hugs. I'm meeting a friend for tea this afternoon -- hopefully that will wake me up a bit

Goobers you are supposed to put the mirror like the ones posted on the outside of your front door or on the window sills to make the bad luck reflect and go the opposite direction. Back to where they come from because they are not welcome in your home.

Day-um. Still up. And I'll be that gbcb is already snoozin' away.

Way-ul, tomorrow night, baybuh, I'll be with ya, hopin' ya sleep. As I hope to be doin', too. <lookin' around for more KimChee -- yeah, I knows that's Korean, eh? But I likes me some spicy KimChee, mmkay?>

I don't know, if I was trying to avoid bad luck and/or loud and obnoxious noises my bathroom would be the LAST place I'd go. Did I say that out loud?

You did. I heard it. So now you can't delete the thread. Well, you could, and then I'd look like I'm talkin' to myself, which I already do at this hour anyway, since it's the only way I can keep from losing it altogether....

Seriously, are you up in prep to go to a real job? <curious Vega look>

I say you get two baloons, one about 20x the size of the other. fill the small one up with eggwhites/yolks, fill the other with helium, tie them together.

Launch them into the sky....and watch as someone across town gets egg-balooned......launch rockets into Mr. Cloud and mr. Cloud will launch things back!

I would LOVE to be in China right now!

Maybe I can make it to the Olympic track racing events.
