what is my computer doing?

When I go to shut down my computer (win xp) a box appears saying __PTWIA is closing with a button there to end the program early if desired. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Apparently PTWIA is a Christian organization. They may be proselytizing your computer.
Or it could be this

Sorry, dauphin. My computer will just suddenly reboot from time to time. Seven years old, which in computer years is either a "terrible two" or 96 and quite cranky. Very soon, I will have a new one.

You have a twain driver running in the backround for a Cannon or Kodak Digtial Camera. its part of the camera software that starts on bootup, check your taskbar over by the volume control (lower right hand corner) is there a icon for your camera? if so you can click it off before shutting down or check your camera software and see if it is set up to start auotmagically if it is there should be a place in the software to disable it.then drop a icon on your desktop to start it when you want.
I have a Kodak Digitail Camera and you don't need their software, you can import your pics to a folder and use the Windows Pic Viewer or any third party photo software to view/manulipate them. they are jepg's,very universal

Not the Hokey-Pokey! I mean, that's so hokey, and makes everything so, uh, pokey.
