I don't watch "AI," but I do watch cable "news" channels. And based on the number of "AI" segments I see there, I sometimes think I must be the only person in America who isn't watching "AI."

You're not alone. I don't watch survivor or any other 'reality' shows. My weakness it the 'Caught on Tape" shows, THAT'S reality. .

Never apologize for loving the Idol! The show is absolutely, breathtakingly, wretchedly wonderful. It's a freak show, a talent show, a (sometimes great, sometimes awful) music show, a snark fest, and a popularity contest all rolled up into one glorious package. And, once in a while, a very few fantastically talented people make it on, and we get to watch them compete week after week.

Is it tripe? Of course. Brilliant, brilliant tripe. Is it the Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse, the cultural hand basket we're all riding on our way to Lowest Common Denominator Hell? No, that's "Dancing with the Stars".

I'm proud to say I haven't watched one episode. "Reality" TV. Yeah right.

If stern has enough of an audience left and if all of the major Indian call centers keep calling he just might make it. Wouldn't that be awesome?

We love it. You start out laughing your a$$ off at the people that can't carry a little tune in a huge bucket. Then by the time you get down to the final 3 or 4 you have people who actually have a shot in the business. My money is on Melinda this year.

And it has worked. You can't argue with the sucess of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. It also makes Simon Cowell 100+ million a year.

I don't watch the show. I dislike the hype it's given. I don't care about the people who are on it. I hope it dies an abrupt, miserable death.

I voted NO.
