Odd ringing...

I was in class, and noticed a slight ringing in my ear. However, it was very high pitched (almost that kind certain cell phones have where young poeple can hear it, and oldies can't. Well Im thinking what the heck is this..and for 40 minutes I heard it. Funny thing was is that it would randomly stop ringin...then ring again. Im like ok what the heck. When it stops again I notice the teacher was standing in the same area as when the ringing stopped earlier. So I lined me and him up to see why..and the computer processer...and some plugs in the wall for the smart board were on the other end. So there was some weird frequency pitch i would hear...but it would stop when the teacher stands in front of me to the computer? What was it??

Sounds like tinnitis. Do you listen to real loud music" If so, it could have caused a pinhole rupture in your eardrum, causing that ringing.

Turn the music down. If you don't, tinnitis will become a permanent and annoyingly loud constant background companion.

It's the voices...I hear them too. If you listen real close, it's not ringing at all, it's hundreds of little munchkin voices singing "We represent the Lollipop Guild..." Don't record it and play it backwards though...trust me on that.

Did Harry Potter or any of the other kids hear this? I think your teacher is Lord Voldemort and the ringing you hear is your own death knell. Ask Ron if he heard anything. Perhaps Hermione can make you a potion to block out the evil ringing of death.

Didn't you learn anything when reading Hemingway? Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.

I've had the same. Sometimes, randomly, I can hear a very high-pitched ringing, almost like it's not supposed to be in the human audible range. Well really, some people can tell the difference of a TV on standby vs. switched off completely.

My best friend can't sleep if her TV, in the other room, is on standby.

When I was a kid I could hear frequencies most people didn't.

You have dog genes, deal with it

It's the aliens in the government trying to listen to your thoughts. You need to wear a hat made out of tin foil to block their beams.

You might be hearing the horizontal scanning frequency of the computer monitor; that's somewhere in the neighborhood of 15kHz, and frequencies that high tend to be very directional (i.e., they "beam") so it would be easy to block their propogation simply by having the teacher stand between the monitor & you in your line of sight.

Or it could be weasels eating your brain.

Priceless!

Works best with total strangers... At the lunch counter, in the aisles or the check-out queue at the market. The secret is to catch them completely off guard.

I do the same thing, but I just open the locked closest where I store my victims, errrr guests, yeah I meant guests, and ask them about the voices in my head. I wonder if they can hear me through the machine mask? Maybe I should take that off first. What do ya'll think?

Could be anything, from a hard drive that's on it's last leg, to a malfunctioning CRT, or otherwise.

I pick up sounds like that all the time. Now, if you pick up a sound that is obviously not there, that's tinnitus and well...that's what you get for keeping the stereo volume pegged at 10 (or whatever above-10 numer you decide to paint on there).

Tinnitus can also be caused by sinus infection. If you'd just answer the phone, your head will clear.

you need to record the ringing noise. Then use a tape playback machine that you can slow the playback speed to 1/100th of the original speed. Then you will figure out what the noise/voices are trying to tell you. Listen to them. For they know what the speak of

I have tinnitus from years of home repair work without the forethought of hearing protection. It's been driving me nuts for years. Sounds like a squeaking mouse running on a squeaking wheel. My Brother was a mortarman (sic?) in the USMC and has it too.

Its a conspiracy... in reality, the tinfoil hats actually amplify the mind control rays. Link here.
