The best thing I ever bought

I recently bought a motorcycle... a 2006 Honda 599. Its the best thing I have ever purchased. I still love my human powered bikes, but the motorcycle is the absolute best way to travel. Not to mention the thing gets 50mpg, which is amazing to me.

My recumbent. For one, it's a blast to ride. For two, I'm usually very quiet, shy, timid, pretty much uncomfortable talking to anyone I don't know well and even sometimes then. Well, none of this works when you ride a dual 650c recumbent. Every one, in cars, walking, jogging, whatever wants to ask about the "flying lounge chair". I've really had to learn to be comfortable outside of my shell. It's done me a lot of good.

My new roadbike, whenever I get it. Or maybe my motorcycle later in the year. Or maybe my sweet ol' steel beater, without which I might not have ever gotten into cycling 20+ years ago, and without which I likely would not be here on Foo now.

Meh, you could get 150 MPG out of a hybrid turbo diesel if they made them right. Gas milage is a scam, they've known for decades how to make truly efficent cars, but nobody does it. Gas milage is like everything else in life. Its a damn racket.

I bought from a diamond broker couple that most of my family has used. They office out of their home. The only research I did was taking the wife to the jewelery store to see what style ring she liked. Then I called George and Linda and got a stone of better quality and almost twice the carat weight of the retail ring she looked at.

I so want a new wheelset, may buy a used set from Cuda2k soon.

Most fun purchase was probably a Cal 20 sailboat that my wife and I raced until we started a family.

One better. I paid $5,00 for the license and $10.00 to the judge to marry us. $15.00 total. Our school covered the blood test. SHE paid for the rings.

Not necessarily the best thing I've ever bought but my Ducati 998 is a thing of beauty and joy.
