I had a 3.5" BoyScout knife when I was in HS. Took it to school, and everywhere, every day in my purse. Back in the day, we could do that. 'Til the younger whippersnappers snapped and started shootin' each other up.

Still tryin' to get my ol' Vega head around this social tragedy....

I inherited a Swiss Army knife which I use for as a tool for practical and constructive uses. It has two knife blades, a screw driver, a small scissors, and a fingernail file. I carry it almost everywhere, such as on long rides when I'd need it to tighten screws on my bicycle or to cut food I've brought with me. I do not use it as a weapon.

Of mine, one is supposed to be a tool and the other is a............."Mich" knife. You tell ME if that is supposed to be a weapon. I think it's overkill if you ask me. (No pun intended) I really don't need a knife for anything but as a tool. But he insisted I take it.

Of couse I am joking, Powerhouse. It's not like I'm really going to have anything like this.

But honestly - he offered that knife and I was quite surprised, knowing how much it means to him.

The second one Jon got because I told him about the Mich knife and when he showed me one he had I said it was nice. So for my birthday Jon took me to REI and bought two of the same knives, one for me and one for himself.

Cool!

Yep the only......"jackass prod"....I have is a generic large boot knife. I still have to strip the finish off of it and polish the entire thing.

I can't wait until i get done with restoring that old Case XX stockman I have....I already screwed up and burnt a small section of the horn handles trying to polish them...but that's alright. Currently trying to mirror polish the ends of the handles, then going to work on the blades....hopefully I can remove some of the stains on the carbon steel blades.
