Few things suck more than things that don't work.

    For example:

    $120 Motherboards.

Behold! The ECS KA3 MVP Crossfire Motherboard BIOS in all it's corrupted glory!!!1

This is what it looks like when it "works."

    Isn't that fun!

    But wait! There's more!!!1

    Wheeee!!!!!1(?)11!2

    From NewEgg reviews
ECS does not have any techinical RMA support. I RMA over 4 weeks ago and they still havent shipped back my board. They have a 10 "working day policy". Well that is a flat out lie. I have left about 12 or so messages...talking to a person there is not possible I suppose.. I guess this is a garage company. They used to be PCxxhips but because those boards suck so bad they have had to change their name..but dont be fooled..they still are horrible..Do yourself a huge favor and spend 10 bucks more for an Axxs board from a reputable company. ECS is the "rainmaker" company..They will deny your RMA at first, then they will deny that it doesnt work, then they will take 4-5 weeks to ship you a replacement..In the mean time your suppose to just stare at your case and think of better days...I build comps and have ordered a lot of parts and have never had to deal with such incompetence as ECS- PCxxhips.

My Acer came with an ECS board. The BIOS made specifically for Acer sucks ass. I can't change anything and I can't even get it to accept two ram sticks.

Meh, there are also worse $150 motherboards out there. And while ECS support may not be great, it still sounds several worlds better than what I've dealt with through Asus.

So did it come like that, or was this the result of a failed update or something?

OK, how do you describe a vacuum cleaner that doesn't work? It doesn't work, so it doesn't suck, but its suppose to suck, so by not sucking, it sucks, but it doesn't, but, but...

    Just shoot me.

Never thread a good thing about ECS, and Gigabyte had a run of bad boards for a while. My current 2 PC's are running EPOX right now. Had pretty good luck with MSI and ASUS and ABIT in the past.

I never call tech support... I've had good luck with ASUS, Tyan, and a number of no-names.

    That reviewer didn't know anything.

ECS is NOT PC-Chips. ECS is the maker of the boards, and PC-Chips bought/rebadged ECS boards and sold them.

Given that doesn't change that ECS is a company with really abd support. It took me 3 months to get a reply over a firmware related question. By then I burned the board up in a blaze of fireworks glory and bought a Soyo to replace it.

And yet a vacuum only sucks when it works.
