Hey, if the clearcoat fails and the paint starts to ick up, you can have the frame stripped and resprayed either in pink, or a variety of colors to compliment the harlequin theme.

Siu chan and Jon, you both have beautiful new bikes.
If you look after them, and treat them the way they were designed, and they will last you for a looooong time.
Conratulations on two great choices.

I hope you didn't test-ride an Orca. The Chorus Orca and the Ultegra Orca at the bike shop called to me until their throats were sore, but I knew if I even gave them a chance, the "eww, carbon fiber" and "wow, too expensive!" thoughts would have been blown out of my head in the wind, and I'd be whipping out the debit card when I got back to the shop.

Well my Giant isn't quite up to the standard of the fine bikes we've had the pleasure of viewing over the last week or so, but as it rarely has any money spent on it, I splashed out and bought some "mighty fine" BBB grips and a Zefel front fender today.

Unfortunately the "upgrades" didn't quite make any visual improvements. ... My poor Giant :

Hey Siu Chan, can my Giant join the UMB club? Come on, make her feel special, please?

75% done. Choco Charm is a 1980 Trek 414. It was hand built with stiff Ishiwata 022 tubing. I built a Sturmey Archer 3 speed wheel for it. 3 speeds aren't just for cruisers. It'll be done in a few days and i'll post again.

To Pheard and Siu, this is a real UMB. Sorry.

Itís not the greatest shot of the bike but itís a nice view of Mt. Sopris and the Roaring Fork River between Glenwood and Carbondale, CO.

This was taken last week during the Ride the Rockies tour.
