Pics from Michigan (Dial Up Warning, but worth it!), and yes, we had a blast!

Here they are, some of the 200 pics we took up in Michigan, between Holland and South Haven. I just hosted the best of them
Our Barista:

The View off of our Hotel Terrace (Wow, what a place! In room jacuzzi and a 3 acre bed!)

The Obligatory Bike Pics: (From the Holland/Grand Haven Pathway)

More in a minute!

Nice pics, thanks for posting them! It's a beautiful day here in southeastern PA, so I might take the digital camera and try posting a few pics as well.

Thanks for the post Tom. My sis lived in Fruitland awhile back and I went up to see her from time to time. Lake Michigan is like looking at the ocean.

Having fun?

Yep, it's for real, and they are going out for either Lake Perch or Salmon, one of the two.

By the way, I'm not sure what the fish was, but early Saturday morning, some kind of HUGE fish ate a duck, it was likely a really big Great Northern or possibly a salmon, couldn't see much except the flash of a 25+ pound HUGE fish nailing a duck swimming across the Black River channel (It got air in a jump).

Here's the Keewatin. It was completed in 1908 and served in passenger service for 50 years around the Lakes. She's currently a museum floating at Red Dock between Saugatuck and Douglas, MI.

You know that a lure is made for great Northern and Musky's that actually is a duck. No slit. They are only 6 inches long or so. My Uncle was infatuated w/ Musky's up in the UP of MI. I remember seeing the thing. I guess that duck would not be the first for an extremely large Musky or Pike.

I love old ships. Down here in Tampa is a WWII Liberty Ship completly restored. It goes for cruises in Tampa Bay. I go to any WWII ship that is open for tours.

Flip side, we've totally changed our touring plans, we've decided to tour the Upper Peninsula of Michigan!

Great photos. Thanks.

You have a dog on your trike too I see.

Every time I see that trike I wonder if I could put a big basket and a 34 lb dog behind the back seat.

Would that be to much weight on the back? Do you think it would balance OK with no one in the trike?

Well, the trike weighs 52 pounds and Sun does make a basket for the back of the seat. It, hangs about 4" behind the axle on the inner edge of the basket, so it should be stable.

You're the first person to notice Crazylady's ride buddy! Cool, she'll get a kick!
