KT is alive and well in Washington!

I'm here. 4 1/2 days of driving....quite tiring, let me tell you. The dogs were great on the trip though....10 times better than I ever thought they would be.

I've many little tidbits and stories to share....I'll get to them later when I have my own internet connection and I'm not using a 30 minute time limit on a library computer.

Will be chat a bit later when I get my own connection.

Damn I'm jealous. I've always wanted to do a cross country run. I can't get enough of the Rockies. Got any pics?

You have to tell us about life in Seattle after some time passes.

Watch out for the reversable lane on the freeway.

I discovered it when I visited my friend there a few years back.

Hi again all. Thanks for the well wishes.

I do have a few stories, rants and pics (not too many pics though...hard to take while driving through winshield).

I just discovered the library here in the mall 1 mile from my new place has wifi, so instead of time limited in the library itself. I can just come here with laptop, sit in the food court with a cup of coffee and relax on the lappy.

I'll get the pics uploaded and start a rant or two here in the next few days. Maybe I'll go start my smoking in restaurant rant now.

Which mall? I'm very familiar with the food courts in Bellevue, considering there isn't a lot of other places to go out to dinner when I'm visiting there.

That would be the Crossroads mall in Bellevue on 148th. Excellent multi-ethnic food court there. The Crossroads area is the center of the recent immigrant population in Bellevue, due to the number of cheap apartments in the area, although those seem to be disappearing rapidly.

Pike Street Market is wonderful. I enjoyed watching the fish sellers toss and wrap the fish. I remember a mall near the Space Needle and a small amusement park.

Yep, that's the one we always go to. Kind of near Trader Joe's, right? There's some decent Mexican and Thai food there. In addition to the library, there's also a great, cheap bookstore. They had some interesting stuff the last time I visited.

Oh, there's no comparison, but the Crossroads Mall is a great place to get a decent lunch when you're staying in Bellevue and might have a bit of a hangover from the night before.
