Tribute to Mom

Maybe not your Mom, but a Mom.

For me, its my Mom, for doing well these past 11 years without Dad. At the age of 76 you are more active than many people half your age. I love you Mom!

Happy Mother's Day.

Oh you know I had to come here.

My tribute would be so long.............I have so much to say. So instead, I did my avatar for her. The flowers I would give to her for Mother's Day every year. Her favorite.

I miss her so much.

I love my mother. She could so easily spend hours talking with my husband, about anything, when he had become so isolated. And he so loved the company, and hearing anyone but me talking.

I think she had a mild stroke about a year ago, when I was unable to go to be with her in the hospital to talk with the docs. She seems to be a bit different in personality, though still quite cognizant and physically able (except for a bit of droopiness on one side of her face). She is much more docile now. And I usually have to be the one to phone her, as I think she forgets to phone me and my brother and sister. We'll all visit her on Sunday, and I know she'll be so happy to have us there for the day.

I love my mother. She is a real Mensch.

Siu, ((hugs)).

My mother does more now in retirement than ever before it seems.

Mom helps Dad run a volunteer food bank, she puts in a lot of hours volunteering at their church, is active in the womens club and gardening clubs in their community. On top of that, she is always willing to drive up here and help with the kids if one is sick and cant go to school, or one of us is traveling for business.

Heres to you Mom. (that is peach tea we are toasting with by the way)

My mom got me into bikes by riding all over town with me in a yellow plastic baby seat on the back of her 3 speed. The tick-tick-tick of a Sturmey Archer still relaxes me.

I couldn't imagine having a more wonderful mother than the one I ended up with.

I miss my mom too...she died in 2003.

However, her mom, my grandmother raised my brother and I as much as our own parents did and she is still alive. I'll be giving her a call this mother's day.

KingTermite You hit on it. Always tell your MomS how much you love them, Before they are gone!

I spent part of Mothers Day riding a dozen roses to Moms grave to place them on her tombstone. I than took one rose over to my Grandmothers grave. Why because Mom would have wanted to herself. My mother passed away in 98, my grandmother passed away in 2006.
