Got my Def Leppard tickets !!!

Yea Baby! Def Leppard with Styx and Foreigner. Coors Amphtheater in September. That's just enough time to grow out my mullet. Now I have to find my acid washed jeans and my Union Jack tee shirt.

Too bad Steamin' Steve Clark (b.1960 - d.1991) isn't around for it. He was one cool guitarist...

def leppard was great until they got rid of pete willis. on through the night and high n dry were their best albums.

one of the best things they ever did was to bring vivian campbell on board after steve clark died. viv is one of my all time fave hard rock guitarists. dio was never the same after viv left.

^^^ Definately.
I always thought Def Lepard was limey Bon Jovey
but they sound harder now than they did back in
the 80's. Mutt Lange sissifies any band he has anything
to do with.

Having said that, I'll admit that I was a huge fan as a kid. Saw them a few times. Had backstage passes, guitar picks, drum stick(s). Lost interest after Hysteria. But I don't change the station when there stuff comes on. However, I did see some made for tv biographical movie that pretty much sucked.

Vivian Campbell was the bomb with Dio and the River Dogs or whatever his first post Dio group was. I saw him with Whitesnake and that was kick ass. Maybe the 80's sucked, but I sure had a good time.

My friend's producer/singer buddy used to be the keyboard guy on Foreigner's latter years. Forgot his name though, He was a cool guy.

My sister was the biggest Def Leppard fan back in the day. She'd go see them, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Dio and several other big hair bands from the 80's.

I wish I had kept all the concert shirts she got me. I could make a mint selling them as actual vintage T's!!

The concert isn't until September? Man that's pretty risky. Are you sure all of those ol farts will still be around by then? Seriously, a lot of Def Leppard music was like the national anthem in my partying days. It was always getting played at some point.

It's always easy to act cool and pick on 20 year old acts of previous generations, but have you looked around at what exists today? All the rappers with all that gawdy bling, and their pants down around there ankles. Not to mention all of the heavily tatted people who will look completely ridiculous in 25 years.

There aren't any oldies rap stations for a reason. Nobody's gonna want to hear "party like a rock star" in 20 years.

Saw them last year with Journey. They sucked. Elliott couldn't hit a high note if you put his nuts in a vice.

I heard the new Journey singer does a pretty good Steve Perry? I think he's the dude that did the vocals for that Marky Mark movie, "Rockstar". An epic hair metal movie if there ever was one.

Seen them several times with the new singer. He is very, very good. They blew Def Leppard away.
