Shifty's 4th of July Oregon Coast Century

You are all invited to join me for a 100 mile ride along the beautiful Oregon Coast on July 4th. I have posted the details in the PNW regional forum, check it out Shifty's 4th of July Oregon Coast Century

The ride meets in Florence, Oregon, and there is lodging and camping nearby the start. If you always wanted to see the Oregon Coast, bicycle is the best way to do so, and with a Shifty guide too, what's not to like?

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

I wish I could!

Alas, if it were only 2,000 miles closer.

My wife and I just spent a long weekend in Yachats to celebrate our anniversary. The coast from Newport to Florence is quite exceptional. I don't think my knees are quite up to a century, though...

Sounds fun. Too bad it's not a long weekend.

If I thought there was a chance in hell that I could ride a hundred miles at once, I'd be seriously considering it. I've been to the coast in Oregon once when I was a kid, and I recall it being quite nice.

Wish I could make it but I'm not able to ride that far right now... maybe next year. Those who go must bring cameras. You could spend a week on that route and not see it all. You will cross this historic bridge.

This one too.

Nice pictures dogbait, and yes, this ride is full of great surprises. Keep in mind too that it is an out and back ride, so you can ride as much as you wish and turn back to the start when you want.
This is where we meet and start
