i think i'm being tested

10 year anniversary tomorrow. i keep asking the old lady what she wants to do about it. won't give me a straight answer.

she's spending the day at her sister's house with her mom, sister and friend baking for a confirmation party this w/e. i just ordered lilies and roses in a lenox crystal vase to be delivered to her at her sister's.

i think i'll do her a favor and order my anniversary gift so she doesn't have to. i'm leaning towards a truing stand or work stand. i'm also thinking about new handlebars or clipless shoes.

i'm looking at spending less than $150.

any thoughts?

Sounds about right for a new pair of CF handlebars. If she doesn't need them you can always throw them on your bike so they don't go to waste.

Just kidding.

In all seriousness, I think a romantic dinner at a fancy restaurant is a good way to go. Maybe throw in some flowers.

It depends on your wife, though--if she likes and expects jewelry, etc. on anniversaries the fancy dinner might not go over so well.

go away, take her away.. pack her bags for her, make arrangements, dont tell her.. just go away maybe where you two first met, go spend a night togther away even if the next town over, no responsabilities, just you and her like old times, one night, one day away can do miracles.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Agreed, a nice romantic Bed and Breakfast would be just the thing!

I would take to a nice club and get her a lap dance. But make sure to watch all the entertainers first and pick the one that turns you on the most. That way she will know what you like and you can save money by staying home and letting her dance for you in private.

First, congrats on the 10th anniversary!

Second, let me say that if you order your own gift on her behalf on this milestone anniversary, it is she who will be tested, and you'll be lucky to make it to number 11!

For all you know, she's gonna be over there preparing something nice for you.

+1 on just kidnappin' her (after tippin' her sister off) and taking her to a nice dinner at a bed and breakfast, and then a walk, a little romancin', and then, well, whatever you two feel like doin' to celebrate the 10-year mark.

Write her a beautiful letter telling her all the wonderful things you love about her. Then make her favorite meal, get the candles going and give her the best sex of her life. You won't even have to spend $50.00!

My wife wants a 3 carat (total weight) diamond ring for our tenth. It can be a 2 carat center stone and 1/2 carats on the sides. Apparently she thinks she married a doctor or someone that makes a lot of money. But I'll play the lottery and hope that we win within two years so I can get it for her! hahah!

Yeah, don't ask her how to show you love her. Sheesh!

Crank up that old charm you used 10 years ago to win her heart.

Relax, and enjoy 10 years of marriage is reason to be proud. 10 years is special.

What to give her? You and your imagination.

The female mind works in mysterious ways. There is no real way to know what she wants. But I'm betting that she wants you to make it a "big deal".

Well, that depends on the price of the male escort.
