Is this normal?

I got out of the shower, and the inside of my eye was hurting ALOT. Like I could barely open my eye. I blotted my eye, and there was blood all over the tissue, when I looked in the mirror, the eye was all blood shot. I rinsed it out and blotted up all the blood, and now it looks pretty normal. Wtf was that? Am I dying? Is my eye going to pop out and/or implode?

No, generally, bleeding profusely from one's eye is not normal.

What is it? I don't know, aside from icky. Broken blood vessel or something maybe? I'd at least call a doctor about it.

I would go to your doctor or optometrist. To answer your question: That does not sound normal. I'm with x136, you might have broken a blood vessel in your eye or scratched something. In the past couple of days have you gotten punched in the eye, had something hit your face, or anything like that?

It just feels like someone scratched my eyeball. The bleeding was only for a second. I think it's ok now. Other than the eye hurting of course.

You should go see an optometrist or doctor; if you accidentally scratched your eye, you want to make sure to keep icky things like infections and scar tissue at bay.

Well I don't have the money for an emergency room visit or anything. I just had this weird urge to itch my eye, when I looked in the mirrow there was a thin layer of red on the left white part of my right eye. Just really random. For now I'll rinse it out and see how it feels, if there's anymore problems I'll have to do something.

A broken blood vessel will not bleed out (leaving blood on a tissue). Sounds like you might have scratched your eye lid some how.

Not necessarily an emergency room visit. Just call your optometrist (on second thought, that's probably a better idea than a general doctor). Even if you did just get a piece of crud in your eye and scratched your eyeball, can you imagine your eyeball getting infected? Blech!

Your ability to pay does not preclude your visiting an ER! Go immediately. Your sight is precious and you need to get it looked at now!

It may well be nothing to worry about but you have no way of knowing until a doctor rules out serious problems!

GO NOW! PLEASE!!!!!!

Go to the eye doctor. Why would you go to the emergency room? They will probably laugh at you.

Don't be silly. No ER doctor will laugh at something potentially serious. I generally go to the ER, as they are usually required to treat you regardless of insurance status.
