Happyfeet's new set of wheels (4 wheels)

This morning Happyfeet and I went to pick up her new (lightly used) car. It's a 2006 Hyundai Elantra GLS. Tidal Wave Blue, almost the color of one of my bikes!

Her NEW car:

@ jsharr. The wife really needed a new set of wheels. She did a lot of research to pick the model she wanted and along with my father the car shopper extraordinaire we went out looking starting on Saturday. We thought we had a black 06 picked out and were going back to draw up the paperwork and write the check when they brought it out dry and detailed. It was only then that we noticed it had extensive hail damage (25-40 dents in the roof/trunk/hood). Needless to say we walked on that deal and found this car yesterday at another dealership with fewer miles for less. Went in this morning to finalize the deal.

When I saw the title, I was wondering what occasion called for buying her two bikes at a time. Well, a new car is cool too. Yay for Happyfeet.

Still working on that first set of 2 wheels for her. She's loving the new car so far, took it over to the parent's yesterday for Memorial Day BBQ dinner. I feel a lot better about her driving this new car over her old set of wheels. We said about a year ago that we were hoping to get a year out of it. Unforunately in the mean time we'd put a bit of money into it. But we realized it was a losing battle to keep the car in good working order.
