Not trying to ruffle any feathers here but.....I love looking at people's ride pictures and other pics that they put up. IN fact the forums would be quite dull without them. But sometimes I get to wondering..."do these people get any riding in or do they spend the whole time taking pictures."
I probably have 6 pictures of myself that were taken in the last 12 months. I probably ended up in half of those by accident. I also hardly ever take the camera on the bike. I guess, I just don't enjoy stopping and taking pictures and ruining a good ride.
Some people put up ride pics on here where they show themselves getting dressed, going to the bathroom, mounting the bike, turning left, turing right, going straight, turning right again etc., etc. Again,I'm glad they do it, but i guess i don't understand the urge to do it.
Yeah. I got a new, smaller camera with the idea of "gee it would be nice to bring on a ride." I've only taken it with me once, and even then only took a few shots. But I suppose looking for things to take pictures of was fun, kind of changed the character of an otherwise routine ride.
Make your banana pancakes, and pretend like it's the weekend.
It depends on what kind of ride it is, I suppose. When I was doing more social rides, I always brought the camera. Now that I'm going for better times, I just don't stop to snap pics anymore. I do enjoy seeing everyone's ride pics though!
I know where you're coming from. I think it would also have something to do with how people ride and socialize. If I'm with the right people there is no end to the photos being taken. But nobody I know is into the cycling thing, and it's kind of difficult to take pictures of myself dontcha know.
I actually wish I had a few pics of myself with the bike and riding and stuff, just for the occasional post. But sadly I have nothing current.

Can't ride and take pix at the same time? Hmmm. This one is on the trail. Dropped the guy sucking our wheels, sat up, reached into the jersey pocket, took a pic at about 20 mph, put it away and continued. What's so hard about that?
This oneis from an organized ride after 12,000 ft of climbing.
This is a forum ride. I stopped to take a pic of the group on the mtn after 6,000 ft of climbing. When we do forum rides, there may be 4 or 5 cameras present. So we get pics from fellow riders to post. Many are 50,80,100 milers with mucho climbing. Now if that aint riding, I don't know what is!
