But have fun anyways...

Looking back, High School was NOT fun, but, being 17 during the summer after HS & before college was great... no rent, no bills, no worries, just party, party, party....

(And possibly dump pig blood on you, but that comes later.)

From what I remember, high school was all about drama.

Just so that you know...

It's nice to see someone with such a lot of enthusiasm. Good for you, maximan1.

It'll be sad to watch high school suck all the joy from your life this fall, but for now, bask in the joy.

we lived on a strange boundary where i went to a different HS than all of my friends in the same nighborhood. my school drew in some tough kids from despressed neighborhoods, so it was a bit random at times (by that i mean, weird hostility and fights that would breakout).

college is the sweet spot.

I'm going to a private school which is located in a church, so it'll be hella easier.

With that attitude, you'll likely enjoy it. Me, I was an outcasted outdoors type among city slickers, and I never fit in. I had about 5 good friends in high school. It was the worst time of my life.

College is the biggest pain in the ass ever. You have a whole university dedicated to jerking you around. The classes don't mesh. There is no such thing as classwork as you know it. To get through with good grades you have to have no life and no money it seems. Oh yeah, and you pay the ****ers for it. Enjoy high school while you can.

Wait till some seniors shove your head in a toilet and then hang you from the flag pole, then get back with us.

I had fun in high school. Mine was pretty small (about 700 students) so I knew almost everybody my age and a lot of the kids in other grades, and I got along with most of them too. Good times.

Give it a few years, then you'll be saying, "I can't wait to get out of HS and get to college!"
