Definitely not Calgary. We didn't have any exploding storm sewers - overflowing, yes, taking out a couple of MAJOR routes, yes, but no geysers (alas).
It was quite a surprise to move to an "arid" climate and discover that June is monsoon season, by the way. We got more rain yesterday than Victoria has had in a month!
Actually, we did get a few flying manholes, only the smaller ones, and only a meter or so. Nothing like that movie. Having seen the scour and debris where Nose Creek twists back and forth just before it joins the Bow River, I would have liked to watch that.
