Younger man w/ older woman... success

This will be my introductory post/thread to foo and somewhat personal. I have a somewhat unconventional age relationship with my wife and it quite frequently causes folks to say "what"!?!?

I was 25 years old and met this awesome but older woman, 37 years old. She was the hot older girl that was always in shape from doing aerobics, biking, skiing, tennis etc. We dated for a while, spent a lot of time on the golf course, fell in love and eventually got married a few years later. My parents thought I was nuts and I don't think ever quite got over it. But two kids, a house and a dog later this past Sunday we celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary.

I was prepared to be given a hard time by my friends, but they have always been really cool and supportive. It helps that Janet acts much younger than her age indicates (she is 52 now and I just turned 40). It is the acquaintances that give me a weird look or even tell an off-color joke. Funny thing is, my wife often gets a "you go girl" for snagging the younger guy, in fact just yesterday got one from our new dental hygenist.

So to any younger guys thinking of dating an older woman, I say go for it. To any of the older girls thinking of a younger guy, I say watch out for immaturity and the ability to deal with an unconventional relationship but otherwise go for it. It helps that sexually we were totally in line - I was in my late 20s and wanting it all the time, and she was in her 30s and very much the same. As I have slowed down so has she!

Thats awesome, I think in your situation it was more about love then age.

Sounds like you have much to be happy about!!!

Always go for the younger chicks. Women don't age as well as men. I'll be 40 in December and I get beter looking every day. Most 40 yr old women.... errr, not so much.

talk for your own experience!
I myself as an older woman, surrounded my the same age group can tell you that we have aged gracefully and i wish i could say the same for some of the men I see out there!

Ive said it before and Im going to say it again, if I was single and had a choice I would definitly go for someone younger then me!

I tend to lean towards the older women. They can be pretty damn fun when they get the "elitism" out of their systems. Women my age look at me having fun and call me immature or childish. The aged variety look at me having fun and want to join in the tomfoolery.

the younger are not mature enough at times, the older are not mature enough at times as they go though their midlife crisis..

Mrs. Caloso is a little older than I am. When we first got together my sister said "Thank god you've stopped messing around with girls and have finally gotten a woman."
