Men and bald spots

For Men:

Are you balding? Does it run in your family? Do you think you will start balding? Do you plan to shave it if you do, or do one of those hideous combover jobs?

For Women:

Does balding hair bother you? Do you prefer to have what hair is left, left on the head, or just shave it bald? Is bald sexy? Is balding sexy?

Dad is bald, I am starting. I just try to keep my hair short, it doesn't really bother me.

I'm losing hair up top. First it went grey, then it started thinning, now it's falling out. When it goes, I will shave it completely. Or I will rock the most awesome Donald Trump combover the world has ever seen. I'm leaning toward shaving it off when the time comes.

The good news is that I've been growing hair elsewhere... presumably to compensate for the deforestation up top. My chest, my back, my ears. It's fantastic.

Baldness is not attractive. But a comb over is worse. Keep the hair as short as possible. Shaving bald only really works for those with dark skin.

By the way, baldness is a sex linked trait. You get it from your mother's side(X chromosome).

Had a bald spot for years don't care, if I end up with a 5inch wide parting I would go billard ball.

Always said I would go bald before I go gray, now I am doing both.

Every time I ask the haircut person to please use the thinning shears on my thick mop of hair, I thank my lucky stars.

If I was going bald, though, I'd just crop it short or shave it all Kojack style!

Bald is WAY SEXY!!!!

It doesn't bother me at all. But most of the men I've been with have had hair.

Sidenote, can I just say how sexy sideburns are too. Trimmed ones of course

Meh. I don't need that nonsense anymore. I can feel the breeze on my scalp without any special assistance. Assuming there's a breeze, of course.

My grandfather on my mom's side was bald at 40, I think. So I've got a few years left to enjoy my hair. Whee.

Dad is bald and I keep gaining forehead so I expect to be someday. But I keep my hair at about 1/4 inch now so it won't really matter.

Going bald....don't care. I usually keep my hair real short, almost shaved. Right now though its about 3 inches long. I need to cut it, probably this weekend.
I want people to like me because of my personality, not because I have hair or am good looking (which I'm not).

I'll be shaving it before long. Keep cutting it shorter and shorter. It hasn't hurt Bruce Willis, Michael Jordan, Samuel Jackson, etc. So wtf. Not saying I look anything like them. Just saying bald ain't so bad.

Balding does not bother me. But I think a short cut while balding is better than keeping it long to cover the balding areas.
Even not balding I like short hair on guys and love a shaved scalp. Especially bald with a goatee. Hot.

Comb-overs are really bad, and there's a certain type of tonsure look that I don't find appealing on dark-haired guys (think a young Jeffrey Tambor)...it's not as obvious on blonds, though. I have a special place in my heart for shaved/bald guys, though. Otherwise, balding or not doesn't really make an impression on me.

And, ditto what Gypsy said... shorter better than long, and a goatee with a shaved/bald head

Let's see...
Dad is 76, just now is thinning out...
Mom is 76 and has very thin hair...
Brother is 48 and has the full fledged bald spot...

I'm thinking I'm doomed! I know my hair is thin up top, but I keep real short (No.1 guard on the clipper). Actually had longer hair until I got married at 38. I saw photos of myself signing the marriage license and noticed how thin I was getting up top. I said screw it this hair has got to go...Not to mention it was becoming a pain with all the riding I was doing...

Am ok with it, I guess so...Do I have a choice??

I'm 31 and balding, doesn't bother me, and I have an extremely hot wife (of 8 years) that doesn't care either. We actually have a good laugh about it once in a while. I just keep it cut short, no shaving for me.

I am in my late 40's. I started losing my hair in my early 20's. By the time I was about 30, I was pretty much bald on top. I kept the remaining hair on the sides and back pretty short, about 1/2 inch or so. Starting a couple of years ago, I just started shaving my head daily. I think it looks a lot better. And I have a goatee. My main squeeze likes it.

My general psychology professor in college always said his bald spot was a solar panel for his sex machine. He was a great guy but unfortunately succumbed to liver failure afew years after i took his class (he was already running on a transplant when i knew him).

Bald on both sides. I'm 24 been losing for at least 6 years. Shave it now. Never been one to fuss over my hair so it isn't a big lose, and I used to shave it before anyways so its not a big deal.

Sometimes I wish I could have a nice full head of hair, but then I remember my hair would always look like a mess no matter what I did, hence the shaving of it, so blah.

I usually have no problem meeting girls, even ones my age or younger, plus the older ones. I think it has more to do with your face not being ugly and having a good personality when it comes to MOST girls.

i'm balding earlier and faster than my older brother...however, we are the only ones in our family that lost any hair. parents and grandparents on both sides have full heads of hair.

i usually just shave it every few weeks. it's nice actually, no work needs to be done at all on a daily basis.

i'm lucky, i learned how to deal with it early on. i have much older friends who are shelling out massive amounts of money on hair products like rogain, etc. they are always looking in the mirror and "fixing" their hair so it doesn't look as thin. i can't deal with all that.

Bald in front and thick on sides and back. I'm clipping it because of the heat, but not because of the baldness. I personally don't give too much thought to what others feel about baldness. Let's just say that I'm comfortable with my MPB. Personally I think wayyyyyyy too much effort and money is put into this stuff. We could vaccinate half of all the kids in Africa with the money spent on Rogaine alone.

Not being defensive or anything- just sayin'....

I wasn't saying anything about what makes a person like you.....for those of you that are talking about personality. I wasn't trying to imply anything in that regard.

Just asking women if they find it physically attractive. Of course, personality is key for actually liking the person. More of that look at the person across the street and say "wow" thing.
