Darn headaches

I wake up to them, then they might go away by them selves, or if I have Ibuprofen-and/or-coffee...they go away...then bam..a headache again in the evening and night. I drink enough, I sleep enough, I think I do a lot of thinks o,k and I get them constantly (this summer so far). One thing I have noted is that I don't think I am taking deep enough breaths. When I feel hot I try not to breathe deep, since I feel that will make more work for me, and heat up more..and when Im outside shooting hoops, I feel that sort of skip of a beat or some odd pressure in my heart area, and realize I dont think I am getting enough oxygen...maybe that's a cause. What could this be? I've never had this untill this summer. I do listen to music a lot, and I am on this computer a lot too-eye strain? Maybe it's the supplements I take in the morning. I dont eat bad at all either, or drink junk drinks. Arg, I don't want to keep taking advils and what not. Maybe just not be on the computer as frequently and drink more water?

Checked your bloodpressure recently?

Or

When you get a headaches or preferably (before it gets started - when you can just feel it coming on) try breathing deeper. This can/will take a very very very concentrated effort initially. See if you can feel it abating.

Headaches can be caused by certain chemical imbalances, inflamation (20 cherries supposedly cures this), lack of oxygen (deeper breathing), supposedly some studies show that excessive emf (think cell phones? wifi? etc?) can cause this also.

I would reccomend brain removal surgery. Dr. Zacharias Ombie is very good at the procedure. Next choice would be Dr. Michael Hfuhruhurr.

Makith sure ... do a doctor appointment. Waking up to one may also be tension. Most likely nothing, but just be sure.

And it would be nice to wake up right without one!

get your blood pressure checked....I had headaches for years from about 6th grade on to about freshmen year of college....I was diagnosed with high BP my freshmen year of college and went on meds...now that I've lost weight my BP has gone down and I no longer have to take meds or have head aches.

Another thing that might cause headaches is caffeine withdrawal. I used to drink tons of sodas and would get headaches if I didn't drink them often. I stopped drinking caffeinated sodas and it sucked for about 3 days but those headaches dissappeared after that. I'll occasionally have a caffeinated soda but not often.

EJ, I've been having headaches on and off for a while which only occured at night. Let me tell ya...these headaches would keep me up for hours. I noticed that I was having headaches when I used to drink a lot of caffeine, not sleep much, and when I spent a lot of time on my computer. I agree with chrisvu05 that you should get your blood pressure checked. Try cutting back on computer time or sleeping more. I've been cutting back on my computer time and trying to cut back on my caffeine intake (thanks to X's recommendation ) and I haven't had a headache in a while. Have you spoken to your doctor has of late regarding this headaches?

Dr. Sarah Bellum is supposed to be very good as well.

Try cutting out caffeine completely. You may also be getting analgesic rebound headaches actually caused by the pain meds you take. Go 4 or 5 days with no caffeine and no pain meds. It sucks, but then you may start feeling perfect again.

When you talk to your doctor, tell him how many ibuprofens you're taking.

You can get an allergic reaction to ibuprofen and have what is starting to be called, "rebound headaches" where it's actually caused by the ibuprofen.

EDIT: I see Paul already addressed rebound headaches.

Also, try an ice pack on your neck and head for no more than 15 minutes at a time, twice an hour. It's surprisingly effective.

I get headaches called "cluster headaches", they come in patches. So I'll have them for a few weeks, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day and almost always at the same time of day, then I'll go a week or months without them. They are pretty bad and I can fully understand why they are called "suicide headaches".
Maybe you should see a doc.

i get bizarre migraines. no pretty colors, no aura...nothing like that. but i do get horribly nauseous.
i'd have an all of a sudden 'oh god i'm gonna puke' feeling, then i'd be exhausted enough to fall over, then my head would KILL me. i've been trying to figure it out and i think i've narrowed it down to dairy products. long as i either avoid them or take lactaid, i'm good to go.

my point in mentioning that is you could have a food allergy of some kind. be careful with the vitamin I...it'll destroy your liver.

DEFINITELY talk to your doctor and mention the heartbeat issue. sounds like the blood pressure check is a good place to start.

headaches SUCK.

Maybe its stress, for me headaches are daily nothing new. I will find my reason of all my issues in time.
