Anybody have a 22" widescreen?

Can you take a picture with something nearby for scale? I am having a hard time visualizing how large this thing is. At work, they gave me a 19" widescreen and that seems large enough.

Sorry for the big picture, that's my Samsung 225BW (which is made entirely of awesome and win). Also featured are my Roboraptor mini, Logitech MX1000 Mouse, and generic Logitech Media Keyboard. I took the picture at Christmas and was showing off to my friends which is why it has the caption

You should get the Apple 30" widescreen. My sister asked me a few months ago about the ultimate small stylish laptop and extravagant desktop setup for a friend of hers with too much money to burn who wanted a Mac. That was easy... a 15" MacBook Pro with a 30" screen to transform it into a nice desktop. My sister tells me that to her, the setup is rediculously big, but her friend loves it.

wow, it's as wide as your keyboard. I bought a 22" Acer from New Egg last night, to celebrate my 1st paycheck from my next job . But I am going away next week, so I won't be able to marvel at it's size (coming from a user of a 10yr old 17" CRT) for a week. The 30" is just not worth it.

I did the same thing! Used a terrible 17" CRT forever, then got my beautiful 22" LCD for Christmas this year

You'll be quite happy with it, Acer monitors are pretty solid. Especially for the price.

Heh, before I scrolled down all the way, it looked like a picture of a monitor displaying a BSOD.

Also, I'll second and third the awesomeness of Samsung displays.

Oh man, those things are nightmarish. I look at a 14.1" (1280x768) widescreen notebook display every day, so it's really quite horrifying to walk down the Apple aisle at Fry's (teh electronics suparstore) and come across one of those 30" monsters.

Should've stuck with CRT. You can pickup 21"'s for like $30. And it can do all the resolutions in between 0 and max, not just native.

That is only one advantage of having a CRT though. The LCD I'll be getting has advantages over a CRT, not to mention the space savings! I can actually fit my printer on my desk.
